July 15 (Day 35) - Good Bye San Diego

After a few very jam packed days our time in San Diego was coming to an end. We slept a little later this morning and had a leisurely breakfast in the RV. Adam and I worked on getting hitched and we set off to our stopover in Bakersfield, CA on our way to Yosemite National Park. It took us 5 hours to drive the 216 miles with a couple rest stops.

When we arrived at the Bakersfield RV Resort Adam went in to get us registered. To our surprise when they handed him the paperwork they also gave him 4 snickerdoodle cookies, one for each of us to enjoy. Since we didn't have anything planned in the area we were able to stay hitched and it was a pull in site. We had dinner together in the RV and all loved having the yummy cookies for dessert. Adam took the girls to the campground store and bought them swim noodles. They went off to the pool and I went off to the laundry room. I came and sat at the pool with them once I had the load going. After a very low key day we were able to get to bed relatively early, hopefully allowing our bodies to rest and get ready to gear up again in Yosemite.
